Ben Waters
Ben Waters dropped out of school to tour with Shakin' Stevens — his first gig was in front of 50,000 people in Esbjerg, Denmark. That was the beginning of a career that has taken him to every corner of the world, playing the music he has always loved: boogie-woogie, blues, and rock & roll.
His relationship with The Rolling Stones is the stuff of legend. Ben reunited the band — with Bill Wyman playing alongside Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie for the first time since 1992 — on his landmark album Boogie 4 Stu, a tribute to Ian Stewart. The album topped the blues charts worldwide. It was mixed by the genius producer Glyn Johns.
With Charlie Watts, he formed the legendary ABC & D of Boogie Woogie — performing over 100 shows worldwide including The Jimmy Fallon Show, The Lincoln Centre New York, and ten nights in Paris. Charlie became one of Ben's closest friends.
Ben has been on Andy Kershaw's Radio One, John Peel's Christmas parties (where Peel acted as roadie), Jools Holland's BBC TV show many times, played at Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage, and performed at Jools Holland's own wedding to a 700-strong guest list that included Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and Prince Charles.
Ben WATERS plays on the Rolling Stones' new single, "Rough and Twisted" which was just released in May 2026 and will be featured on their upcoming studio album "Foreign Tongues", which will be released on July 10th.
